Dearest reader,

Rhett (Rachel) and Cheyenne met 12 years ago at Claim Jumper in La Mesa, California. Cheyenne remembers the moment clearly, as she witnessed Rhett walking towards her in that long corridor. She was and still is the most beautiful light. She was glowing so bright as she smiled at her. Cheyenne knew instantly that she had to know her. As the days passed, they grew close in friendship. As they were both discovering their selves, their sexuality, and learning to accept all the parts of themselves they looked to their parent's (mothers) for the knowing that it was safe to journey forward together. Unfortunately, it wasn't well received and yet they moved forward, falling in love and fighting against everything they had been taught to believe. Over time the weight of it all proved to be too heavy to carry and they parted ways as friends. For many years they fought the urge to be more than friends and even spent years not talking. During this time, they silently supported each other's dreams as Rhett became a Registered Nurse and Cheyenne became a mother of two beautiful daughters. Through life, love, and the journeys they each endured, one thing was certain - they had to be with one another. They would always find their way back to one another through a deep phone conversation or meeting for dinner any chance they had. In their own healing journeys to finding their true selves, the burning desire in their hearts for one another brought them back together again - this time forever. The journey to their love is never ending, just as this life and any love you may know. Rhett and Cheyenne work day in and day out on building the foundations of their love and communication, showing up for one another in ways they never knew were possible. This love is the dream they never knew would be their own. Now here they are.. getting married on November 22, 2024. On this day they get to celebrate their love with all of YOU who have loved them along their journey.
